The MegaWatt Solar concentrated photovoltaic system is cost-optimized for utility-scale power generation applications. We have placed our emphasis on the total life-cycle cost of the system.
This optimization is based upon all facets of life-cycle cost, including manufacturing, installation, operations, and maintenance. Each Basic Power Unit (BPU) concentrates approximately 20 times typical flat-panel solar energy onto optimized standard photovoltaic cells, producing approximately 1.0 kW of reliable, low-cost DC power.
MegaWatt Solar utilizes readily available materials that are engineered to have minimal impact on the selected site. Featuring a significantly smaller footprint than flat panel arrays, our BPU can be deployed in small configurations to maximize the space available. Solar clusters located at multiple sites are easily networked to create one power plant.
MegaWatt Solar photovoltaic systems have been engineered to optimize electricity yield while minimizing the costs of materials, assembly, installation, and maintenance.
