An optimized system

The MegaWatt Solar concentrated photovoltaic system is cost-optimized for utility-scale power generation applications.

This optimization is based upon all facets of life-cycle cost, including manufacturing, installation, operations, and maintenance. With a total effective collection area of 19 square meters, each solar tree concentrates approximately 20 times typical flat-panel solar energy onto optimized standard photovoltaic cells, producing approximately 3.0 kW of DC power.

MegaWatt Solar utilizes readily available materials that are engineered to have minimal impact on the selected site. Featuring a significantly smaller footprint than flat panel arrays, our solar trees can be deployed in small configurations to maximize the space available. Solar clusters located at multiple sites are easily networked to create one power plant.
